Red at Night: A Book Review

After reading Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry, which was my first book by her, I knew I needed to pick up something else by her.  I had already downloaded this short story to my kindle because it was on sale recently, and so I thought now would be the perfect time to pick it up!

Reading Slumps

So....I have really been slacking in the reading department.  :(

The last few weeks have been crazy busy at work, however, over the past month, I have been struggling to get in my reading time!  I always seen to find something else either more important (like paying the bills) or something else will suck me in (like TV shows).  I can't seem to sit down and read some of the books that I have been trying to get to for months!

Seven Deadly Sins Book Tag

Seven Deadly Sins Book Tag

1. GREED —What is your most expensive book? What is your least expensive book?

All Unquiet Things for 0.79 on BookOutlet is definitely the cheapest book I have bought!  For the most expensive book, well I don’t have the heart to spend more than $15 on a book.  I really try to buy my books on sale, either at BookOutlet or a clearance rack somewhere, or I will buy the Kindle version if it is cheaper.  I know that a recently spent $15 (maybe a little more with tax) on Four because I needed it right when it came out. :)

2. WRATH—What author do you have a love/hate relationship with?

Nicholas Sparks: I really love some of the romance novels that he writes (The Notebook, Safe Haven), but some of the other ones I find to be extremely predictable and hard to get through because of it (True Believer).

Pushing The Limits: A Book Review

I have heard so many wonderful things about Katie McGarry and this series as a whole!  I was able to snag the first 3 books on my Kindle when they were on sale for only a couple of bucks each!  The other day, I had an extremely slow day at work, so I started Pushing the Limits.  I ended up finishing this book in a few days because I couldn’t put it down!  I highly recommend this book if you enjoy contemporary romance!

Weekend Reads

Although I haven't had much time for reading lately, I thought it would be fun to post an update!  This weekend I have been reading All The Light We Cannot See as well as listening via audio book to The Casual Vacancy.  Have you read either of these two books?  I would love to know your thoughts; it seems like I have heard mixed things about The Casual Vacancy by JK Rowling.

Nothing Left To Lose: A Book Review

Although it took me what feels like forever to finish this book, I really, really enjoyed it!  Moving across the country has been exhausting and time-consuming, but I finally got around to finishing this book!  I completely fell in love with the characters, and I found the plot so interesting and a great mix of romance and action!  I would definitely recommend this book as a contemporary novel with a bit of an edge!
